Meet Chuck Smith – Owner of Chuck’s Cultured Marble

If you appreciate durable, custom, handmade craftsmanship over mass-produced junk from a big-box store — I think we can be friends.

I started working in cultured marble back in 1990 and have spent most of my life in this trade, always learning and improving.
Over the years, I’ve worked in several cultured marble shops and eventually became Plant Manager at Accent Custom Marble.

When Accent closed in 2015, I joined Akron Cultured Marble Products, where I spent five years working toward owning the business.
On January 1, 2020, that goal became reality — and Chuck’s Cultured Marble was born.

Bringing Cultured Marble Into the 21st Century

I’ve spent years studying how natural stone forms its color movement and depth — from the way veins taper to how light interacts with texture.
Using that knowledge, I’ve developed new veining and color-blending techniques that make cultured marble look more like real marble or quartz, while keeping all the advantages that make cultured marble so reliable:

• and long-term durability

Today’s customers want materials that look natural and high-end, not dated or artificial — and I’m making sure cultured marble keeps up with that style.
Every project we cast is made to match modern design trends, while still being affordable, practical, and built to last.

Every order is mixed, cast, and finished by hand right here in Mogadore, Ohio.
We maintain relationships with several pigment suppliers, giving our customers nearly limitless color and pattern options.

We’re a small, family-run shop. My son Michael Hardesty and I work side by side with our team to make sure each job meets the standards we’ve built our reputation on — honest work, done right.
